Iguazú
An evocation of the Iguazú falls and the jungle carried on their waters, with ylang-ylang, wild violet and mate leaf joined by cucumber freshness and licorice sweetness.
Perfumer: Julian Bedel
Roaring water, drifting spray and the dense jungle beyond: Iguazú by Fueguia 1833 takes its setting from the vast meeting of waters between two countries. The composition approaches that landscape through flowers, leaves, sweetness and a watery texture, suggesting a richness that the simple words forest or waterfall can scarcely contain.
The accord gives ylang-ylang the tonic role, wild violet the dominant and mate leaf the subdominant, with cucumber and licorice forming its melody. Soft flowers meet leafy greenness, while a cucumber-like freshness carries a gentle sweetness. Watery, soapy and mineral impressions give it a clean texture, accompanied by a light powdery quality.
It should appeal to people drawn to humid greenery and flowers beside water. A warm-day walk in light clothing, or a quiet moment that brings a waterside mood into the city, would be fitting settings. Released in 2018 and composed by Julian Bedel, it is shown here in a 100mL clear glass bottle with a white cylindrical cap, a thick base and green-toned liquid.
