Cuir Pampas

Frassaï's Cuir Pampas opens on an image the house itself paints: a gaucho smothering the last of his embers at dawn, pausing with warm maté before galloping into the Argentine pampas. Perfumer Irina Burlakova translates that scene into a quiet, open-plains leather. Green yerba maté and black pepper lead with an aromatic, slightly bitter freshness, while smoked vetiver and a soft skin-leather note settle into the center without the weight of a heavy jacket. Cedar wood, cistus labdanum, and dry hay warm the drydown, carrying the memory of cooled smoke and sun-worn grass. The composition reads less as rugged tannery and more as the breeze that follows a long ride across empty land. It wears comfortably from afternoon into evening, equally at ease with everyday clothes.
