Insomnia draws on the nights Bianchi spent making perfume after her daytime job. She connects the freedom of that private creative time with the tension of remaining awake despite fatigue.
Rich ylang-ylang and jasmine meet a sharper mineral facet. Sandalwood, cedar, patchouli and cypriol give the flowers a darker woody setting. A touch of indole adds an animalic shading, carrying the contrast between floral brightness and the more ambiguous character beneath it.
