Ambre Nomade
Ginger and clary sage lift a warm amber of apricot, ylang-ylang, resins and vanilla, inspired by a volcanic vision of Indonesia.
Perfumer: Pierre Negrin
Ambre Nomade grows out of a volcanic image inspired by the Indonesia of the founder's childhood, glowing like an endless sunset. Perfumer Pierre Negrin turned that image into an amber with an aromatic current running through it. In the top, ginger brings a brisk, peppery lift and clary sage a herbal, slightly green edge, both keeping the soft apricot from turning jammy. At the heart, Madagascan ylang-ylang adds a sunny, creamy floral sweetness, framed by dry Atlas cedar and the resinous shade of Moroccan cistus absolute. The base gathers Indonesian patchouli, Somali olibanum resinoid, vanilla and musks into a warm, faintly incense-like glow. It is sweet without becoming heavy, as the herbs keep the whole composition bright. It is an Extrait de Parfum at 18%, and its bottle is conceived as a solid block of glass meant to catch the light.
