Trajan Noir
Mandarin and blood orange lead to lavender, sage, woods and ambergris in a higher-concentration interpretation of Trajan’s contrast between citrus and aromatic herbs.
Perfumer: Marco Genovese
Trajan Noir takes its subject from journeys and people whose presence remains in memory. Created by Marco Genovese and introduced in 2026, it develops the contrast between the original Trajan’s brighter citrus and more grounded woods. The house presents this Noir Collection fragrance as a higher-concentration interpretation that retains the character of the earlier composition while giving it a richer expression.
Mandarin, lemon, bergamot and blood orange introduce lavender, sage and saffron. The brightness of a sunlit citrus grove meets clearer aromatic herbs and a gentler spicy accent. Cedar, oakmoss and ambergris then form the base, placing calmer wood and a cooler impression beneath the opening’s luminous character. The progression keeps the relationship between freshness and warmth at the centre of the fragrance.
Consider it for an outing when you want brighter citrus with more depth, or a slightly more formal accompaniment to your clothes. The 100mL bottle combines smoked glass with a silver-coloured cap and shoulders. Its black circular medallion bears the eagle and fragrance name, above a thick glass base.
