Octavian centres on a bouquet of roses paired with Iranian oud. Created by Christian Provenzano and introduced in 2020, it draws on a meeting of Eastern and Western fragrance traditions to interpret the intellect and presence associated with the Roman ruler Octavian. The composition places the fuller texture of flowers against the depth of wood and leather.
Saffron and pink pepper introduce Taif rose, rose attar, Bulgarian rose and frankincense. Silkier petals meet the contrasting character of spice and aromatic resin. Amber, Iranian oud and leather then form the base, carrying the floral richness into warmer wood and giving the softer rose materials a more substantial outline. The relationship between these different textures remains central to the fragrance.
Consider it for an evening dinner or when you want time with a rose-and-oud composition. The 100mL bottle combines purple glass with a rose-gold-coloured cap and shoulders. A purple circular medallion bears the eagle and fragrance name, while the thick glass base retains the same purple colour.
