Yet it opens with violet, evoking fresh fields wrapped in morning dew, so a dewy floral note is the first thing to appear. Patchouli and lavender follow in the heart: patchouli's deep, earthy shade and lavender's herbal clarity bridge the move from flower to wood. In the base, vanilla, oak and mahogany come together, the dense texture of the two woods softened by vanilla's sweetness and leading toward a rich finish that echoes the cask inspiration. The violet's freshness at the start acts as a contrast to that weight.
