Monocle Scent Five: Syros

Monocle Scent Five: Syros evokes wild herbs on eastern Mediterranean hills, warmer ground and air from the sea. The fifth collaboration between Monocle and Comme des Garçons centres on thyme, turmeric and immortelle. Herbal freshness shares the landscape with warmer roots and flowers.

Spanish white thyme and turmeric create greener herbs and a dry spicy texture. The warmth of immortelle meets vetiver’s root-like woods at the heart. Indonesian patchouli and white musks add earthy depth and softness to the herbal floral drydown.

Choose it when freshness should feel herbal and rooted rather than mainly citrus-led. A light shirt or clothes for a walk can complement its wild-herb and dry-flower texture. It offers warmth beside the brighter aromatic aspect.

Antoine Maisondieu created this eau de toilette in 2025. The clear rectangular 50mL bottle pairs a silver cap with a pale blue circular label. Monocle’s in-house design connects with the pared-back character of the Cyclades.
