Roasted chestnuts lead the opening, sharpened by cardamom and red pepper, with a thin thread of golden caramel running through the smoke of the burnt shells.
The idea is a childhood memory: chestnuts roasted on the street in Andalusia. Rather than turning that memory into dessert, the composition moves toward flowers, letting cassia flower and jasmine soften the roasted edge at the heart.
Haitian vetiver forms the whole base, giving the warmth an earthy, slightly dry footing. Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez gave it five stars and named it a masterpiece in Perfumes The Guide 2018.
