Byredo Bal d'Afrique
About This Fragrance
Bal d'Afrique is a Byredo signature launched in 2009. Inspired by Ben Gorham's father's travel journals and the fascination with African culture in 1920s Paris, it was composed by Jérôme Epinette as a bright floral woody fragrance.
Scent Profile
African marigold, bergamot, lemon, and buchu create a citrus opening with green bitterness. Violet, cyclamen, and jasmine form a powdery floral heart, while vetiver, musk, amber, and cedarwood leave a sweet clean woody-musky drydown.
Who It's For
It suits spring and summer daytime wear, white shirts, city walks, hotels, and close-range situations. It is ideal for people who enjoy radiant scents, though longevity should be tested on skin before purchase.
