Scent Development and Character

The opening is a commanding pour of red wine and wine lees, with tannic weight and fermented depth, supported by bergamot and clary sage that feel deliberate rather than playful. The heart turns into a slow burn: red ginger's flushed heat, davana's overripe fruitiness, jasmine sambac's white floral density, and Peru balsam's dark sweetness. The base diverges completely: roasted tonka is smoky and bittersweet, akigalawood is dry and woody, cistus is resinous, leather is worn and animalic, and oud is ancient and smoky, pulling the composition into a place the original never dared.
