A tribute to Harrods, moving from red fruit and cardamom through flowers and leather into rich resins and woods.
Majestic is a tribute to Harrods, the London department store where Boadicea the Victorious began selling its perfumes in the Black Hall Perfumery in 2008. The composition interprets an experience of the store's luxurious surroundings and individual services through an abundant layering of materials.
Cardamom, red fruit, labdanum and lemon open the fragrance. Spice and juicy fruit meet the fuller texture of resin, with citrus giving the opening a sharper outline.
Saffron, clove and cinnamon develop around leather in the heart. Ylang ylang, rose and lily of the valley introduce a generous floral character, while further labdanum and incense connect the flowers with the darker materials around them.
The base combines musk, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, tonka beans, amber, oud and oakmoss. The brighter fruit character moves towards warm wood, resin and the deeper shade of moss. The many layers give the perfume a substantial presence, following the house's idea of an indulgent fragrance inspired by its relationship with Harrods.
