Green Sapphire
Saffron, raspberry and a liquor accord lead into pine needle and the darker woods of a forest-inspired composition.
Green Sapphire centres on pine, using the idea of a darkening forest to express contemplation and quiet. Green leaves, a resinous pine character, earth and woods develop this setting, giving the composition a woodland theme that extends from the opening through its base.
Saffron, violet leaf, raspberry and a liquor accord make up the top. Dry spice meets tart fruit, green leaves and an impression of alcoholic drinks. Together they provide a brighter, fruitier starting point before the forest character becomes more prominent.
Pine needle takes the central role in the heart, alongside violet leaves and cashmere musk. A slightly oily, petrol-like aspect of the pine gives the fragrance a distinctive texture. Resinous impressions develop beside this quality, emphasising the darker forest atmosphere at the centre of the composition.
Amber, sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, oud, musk and vanilla form the base. Woody and earthy impressions meet the spicier character of oud, continuing the shaded woodland theme. Warmer woods and sweetness support the green leaves and pine, connecting the opening's fruit and spice with a deeper combination of wood, earth and resinous textures.
