Coeur de Noir
Black ink and spiced rum give way to leather-bound books, tobacco and birch tar, a dark tribute to the art of the sea.
Perfumer: Julie Dunkley
Coeur de Noir grows out of the bond between the sea and the art it has produced. Pen-and-ink sketches of yachts, shelves of nautical fiction and tattoos are all folded into a dark scent that wraps closely around the skin.
Black ink leads. Around it sit spiced rum, old paper, the dry smell of leather-bound books and the warmth of vanilla-laced pipe tobacco.
Ink and rum set a deep, dark tone from the first moment, then fade into dry leather, tobacco and worn paper. Birch tar and labdanum leave a finish of smoke and warm resin.
