Cape Wrath takes its name from the rugged headland at Britain's far north-western tip. The name comes from the Old Norse for 'turning point': sailors have steered by it for centuries, yet its waters have wrecked countless ships. That double nature, landmark and hazard at once, is where the scent begins.

Pink pepper, elemi, galbanum and angelica root open it with a peppery rush, a bright resinous lift and a green, stem-like bitterness, like walking straight into a cold sea wind. At the heart, frankincense and mastic bring resinous smoke, and geranium sets warmth against a certain severity.

The base gathers ambergris, vetiver, ambrette, seaweed and oakmoss absolute into a mossy, oceanic layer that the brand describes as lingering powerfully.
