Acrasia
Wine-laced citrus gives way to a rose wrapped in cinnamon and incense, settling into amber and warm woods: a rose drawn from a sorceress in a 16th-century epic.
Perfumer: Julie Dunkley
Acrasia draws on a sixteenth-century allegorical epic, a sorceress and a mythic forest, and the rose at its centre changes character as citrus gives way to spice.
Sicilian lemon and bergamot open bright, with wine running through the citrus so the sparkle takes on a darker, fermented edge. In the heart, cinnamon and incense close around rose while geranium and jasmine thicken the floral layer, with a smoky bitterness behind the petals.
The base gathers amber, vanilla, musks, patchouli, vetiver and cedarwood. Resin and vanilla warmth settle over dry woods, a finish that keeps drawing the wearer back toward the enchanted forest.
