Cinisca
Inspired by the first woman to win at the Olympic Games, this scent moves from the tense floral green of juniper and tuberose to powdery vetiver and leather.
Cinisca takes its name from the woman who challenged men and convention to become the first woman to win at the Olympic Games. The scent is built around that victory and around the idea that sport, where body and mind meet, can become an instrument of emancipation.
The opening pairs juniper and tuberose. Juniper brings a dry, needle-like green, while tuberose adds a dense white-floral sweetness. The brand's description also mentions neroli, using a floral and citrus brightness to suggest the tension before a race begins. In the heart, clear lily meets the light spice of pink pepper, which gives the bouquet more warmth.
The base combines leather, musk and vetiver. Here the vetiver is shown in its most powdery form and blends into a bold, energetic leather; the brand links this accord to the sand thrown up by the chariot wheels. Musk then settles the finish with a decisive edge. Dry roots and a leathery texture accompany the richness of white flowers.
