Scent Development and Character
Colonia C.L.U.B. opens with a bright, effervescent rush of bergamot and lemon, sharpened by a dry, fizzy mix of pink and black pepper that gives the citrus a sparkling bite. As it settles, a cool green heart of shiso and aromatic rosemary emerges, blending leafy, almost minty tones with a clean herbal edge. The drydown rests on smooth cedarwood and soft musk, creating a light, polished woody-musk trail that keeps the citrus and herbs feeling airy rather than heavy.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
The airy citrus-woody profile makes Colonia C.L.U.B. especially suited to mild and warm weather, where its brightness and green facets feel most natural. It works well as an understated daily signature for office or casual settings, but the peppery sparkle and polished woods also give it enough character for relaxed evening social occasions when a clean, modern cologne is desired. Best suited to spring and summer, with enough structure from woods and musk to work comfortably in mild autumn weather as well (editorial estimate). Sillage is Projection stays soft to moderate, forming a close, polite aura that is noticeable at arm’s length but rarely intrusive (editorial estimate). Longevity is For an Eau de Cologne, Colonia C.L.U.B. offers moderate longevity, typically around 4–6 hours on skin under normal conditions (editorial estimate).
Perfumer and Bottle
Released in 2022, this is presented as Eau de Cologne and credited to François Demachy. Colonia C.L.U.B. retains Acqua di Parma’s classic Colonia bottle: a clear cylindrical glass flacon with thick base, glossy black cylindrical cap, and a rectangular cream label bearing the brand crest and the fragrance name in lowercase type. Recent production appears in the subtly updated Colonia packaging but preserves the same Art Deco-inspired silhouette, projecting a clean, luminous, and contemporary elegance.
