The Apartment
A dark floral gourmand where tart cherry, rum and cacao give way to jasmine, tuberose, balsams and vanilla.
Perfumer: Isaac Sinclair
The opulent Parisian interiors of L'Appartement Étoile inspired The Apartment. Abel gives that setting a playful interpretation, bringing tart cherry, rum and dense white flowers into an imagined luxurious evening.
Cherry, rum and cacao combine fruit acidity, boozy warmth and bitterness in the opening. The materials include sour cherry extract upcycled from the food industry and upcycled cacao from Madagascar.
Jasmine and tuberose meet the woody, resinous character of gurjun balsam. Myrrh, Tolu balsam and vanilla then add drier shadows and rounded sweetness beneath the flowers. The textures of fruit, rum, flowers and resins build the velvety impression of the fragrance.
