Jasmin & Ylang
Spearmint and coconut up top, jasmine and ylang-ylang sharpened with clove, and a frangipani-vanilla drydown over cedar.

The pairing in the name, jasmine with ylang-ylang, sits at the centre of the heart alongside rose and a pinch of clove. The clove's small bite keeps the ylang's custardy sweetness from going syrupy, while the jasmine gives it lift.
Before that, bergamot, blood orange and cool spearmint make a bright start, with coconut adding a creamy roundness almost straight away. Frangipani then carries the flowers down into Virginia cedar, benzoin and vanilla, a soft, resinous finish.
Serge de Oliveira was after the essence of floral elegance and maps the wear in three moves: a radiant opening, a smooth, delicate middle, then comfort as the hours pass. The perfumer pictures that last stage as a calm moment savoured before the day starts moving.
