About Pierre Wulff
Pierre Wulff is a Swedish-born perfumer based in New York. A Director at Robertet, he connects clients with the fragrance development team, bringing the perspective of a brand into the process of developing its scents.
Career
He studied at the Roure perfume school in 1973–1974 and has served as a Director at Robertet since 1995. When Robertet opened its expanded Manhattan Creative Center in 2025, the company acknowledged him among the people who helped make the opening a success. His collaborations include several fragrances for Les Soeurs de Noé, co-created with Jérôme Epinette.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Alongside his role linking clients and development, his collaborative work gives olfactory form to particular places and periods. Citrus Poetry evokes a Mediterranean coastal escape through bright citrus, while Bohemian Absinthe draws on the artistic life of late-19th-century Paris through herbs, smoke and leather. The warm amber and moss of Citrus Poetry contrast with the smoky, woody and leathery base of Bohemian Absinthe.
Signature Works
- *Citrus Poetry* (2022): Lemon, ginger and black pepper introduce apple, Cara orange and jasmine petals before amber and moss provide the base.
- *Bohemian Absinthe* (2019): Kumquat and eucalyptus meet apple blossom, with vetiver smoke, sandalwood and white leather completing the composition. Both works were co-created with Jérôme Epinette.
