About Louise Turner

Louise Turner is a perfumer whose deepest creative memories come from gardens and domestic life in Kent, England. Cut grass, honeysuckle, old wood, and the mingled smoke and sawdust of her father's woodworking become sources for brightness that never feels over-arranged.

Career

Turner initially studied dentistry, then entered fragrance through a temporary position at Quest and moved into perfumer training. She has worked at Givaudan since 2000 across a broad range of fine-fragrance projects. In 2025 she was welcomed as a new perfumer for a historic maison, taking on the additional task of connecting an archive with the present.

Creative Style & Philosophy

Guided by the idea that less can become more, she selects the materials that carry the core and removes unnecessary explanation. Translucent floral light, living fruit, soft musk, and aldehydic air create cleanliness that still retains human warmth. Time spent observing plants and the sudden return of domestic smells give the formulas unforced depth.
