1001 Roses
Centifolia and damascena roses meet creamy musk in a floral portrait inspired by roses freshly picked on a May morning, balancing vivid petals with softer fullness.
Perfumer: Louise Turner
1001 Roses gathers the different faces of roses freshly picked on a May morning. Created by Louise Turner for the 2024 Absolue Les Parfums collection, its name imagines a thousand and one roses. Flowers grown at Domaine de la Rose in southern France become a kaleidoscope of impressions, with fresh petals, depth and contrast forming a more modern, airy rose fragrance.
Centifolia rose from the estate brings honeyed sweetness and brighter pear-like and lychee-like facets. Damascena rose adds softer, warmer floral fullness with impressions of honey, amber and spice. A musk accord surrounds these two roses with creamy, milky softness and a woody touch. Vivid flowers gain a gentler texture close to the skin. The Halo construction places rose at the centre, allowing these elements to work together as a bouquet rather than assigning them separate stages.
It is a choice for a walk or a visit to a gallery when you want to enjoy softer flowers, particularly if you like both fruit-faceted rose and creamy musk. The transparent cylindrical 100mL bottle shows pale yellow liquid beneath a gold-coloured cap. Its round plaque names 1001 Roses, while a rose sculpted into the thick glass base carries the fragrance’s subject into the bottle design.
