Perfumer, Brand Background, and Creation Story

Senior Perfumer Véronique Nyberg created the fragrance from memories of woodland near Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, where she spent part of her childhood and saw small blue flowers in spring. She has described walking in nature and gardening as practices that help her feel grounded and creatively alert.

Bluebells cannot be naturally extracted for perfumery, so Nyberg built a bespoke accord from galbanum, violet leaf from Grasse, and floral essences. Rather than copying only a blossom, the accord gathers colour, dew, foliage, earth, and spring air into an imagined bluebell.

The fragrance also formed part of Artists of Note. Footwear designer Ancuta Sarca translated its contrasts into a mule made with upcycled velvet and leather, carrying the idea from forest memory to perfume and then into fashion.

The official structure is a three-stage pyramid. The top combines wild strawberry, blackberry, bergamot, and galbanum. Red fruit supplies tart juice, while citrus light and resinous green bitterness prevent the opening from settling into jam or candy.
