About Maison Crivelli
History
Maison Crivelli is a Parisian haute parfumerie house launched by Thibaud Crivelli in 2018. Born in Paris and raised between central France and Provence, Crivelli later spent about a decade in China and other parts of Asia. Visits to perfume-material plantations taught him to experience raw materials together with their climate, sound, taste, and physical setting. Those memories became the foundation of the house. Rather than translating a personal episode into a fixed illustration, he develops each fragrance through extended dialogue with a perfumer and leaves room for the wearer to build an individual interpretation.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The house is guided by the idea that perfume is a living experience. Unexpected encounters with materials become briefs built from several senses: saffron fields in fog, scorched sandalwood on a volcanic slope, or hibiscus tea tasted in a gemstone market. Words, images, and sounds are assembled into a multisensory mood board, then explored without a rigid launch deadline. According to the brand, development may take several months or as long as two years. The resulting perfumes rely on contrast: vivid natural textures meet contemporary aroma materials, brightness is set against shadow, and familiar ingredients appear in unfamiliar surroundings. Strong projection may be part of the language, but clarity of texture and movement remains central.
Iconic Fragrances
Absinthe Boréale pairs aromatic bitterness with an impression of cold air. Hibiscus Mahajád gives floral and fruity color an unusually saturated presence, while Oud Maracujá opposes dark oud with the tart energy of passion fruit. Papyrus Moléculaire and Iris Malikhân foreground tactile ideas such as dry wood, paper, leather, and powder. Across the collection, Maison Crivelli shifts the expected meaning of a named material and turns the moment of discovery itself into the subject of the perfume.
