About ELIE SAAB
ELIE SAAB is a fashion house founded by designer Elie Saab in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1982. Its identity brings Middle Eastern heritage into contact with European refinement, placing craftsmanship in embroidery, decoration and the movement of fabric. Fragrance carries related ideas of light, softness and presence into the way a person dresses and feels.
Brand History
The founder opened a small atelier at eighteen and developed his work towards the international runway. The house introduced its first perfume in 2011, extending the idea of dressing beyond clothing into scent. Its fragrance range has since expanded across several women’s collections and into men’s perfume, allowing different moods and forms of elegance to sit within the same fashion identity.
Philosophy and Character
The fragrances approach scent through the textures associated with haute couture. Brighter flowers often meet the depth of patchouli, woods or amber, pairing a lighter sense of radiance with a richer impression near the skin. Individual compositions draw on different parts of the design world: the delicacy of lace, the atmosphere of a celebration or the freedom associated with a younger generation. The relationship between softness, outline and fullness is central to the range.
Notable Fragrances
Le Parfum places orange blossom and other flowers beside a woody framework. Girl of Now pairs an almond-like sweetness with flowers, while Elixir turns towards iris and a fuller floral and ambery character. Together they show several ways the house translates ideas of dress and personal presence into fragrance.
