Anvers 2
A floral and woody fragrance inspired by an unexpected pairing of formal dress and sneakers in a forest.
A photograph of Belgian art dealer Roger Szmulewicz in a forest, wearing a formal coat with sneakers, gave Ulrich Lang the starting image for anvers 2. That unexpected pairing becomes a contrast between flowers and warm woods. Bergamot, lime and lemon bring a crisp citrus edge to black pepper and rhubarb, while cypress adds a green line. At the heart, Bulgarian rose, mimosa, jasmine and lily meet cedarwood, sandalwood and vetiver; the flowers feel soft without losing their shape. Tonka bean and vanilla lend sweetness to amber and musk, with olibanum and oakmoss giving the base a darker, earthier shade. The composition suits a tailored outfit when you want a floral element that feels quietly unconventional.
