Sandy Rose
A desert-minded rose: bergamot and rosewood lead into rose fused with frankincense, sweet and smoky.
Perfumer: Gilles Berthoumieux
Sandy Rose imagines a Middle Eastern desert through the meeting of rose and frankincense. Its inspiration looks to a culture in which rose water belongs to ritual and everyday life, setting the flower beside a sweet, smoky resinous character. Bergamot and rosewood provide the opening, rose occupies the heart, and frankincense gives the finish its quiet depth. Gilles Berthoumieux created it within Rose Study, three interpretations joining rose with a place and its culture. Developed for a limited nail oil in 2024, it became a 15 mL Petiume that December, offering the trio's more resinous and smoky expression.
