Energetic Rose
A spirited rose inspired by an Indian flower market, lifted by nutmeg's bite and settled on sandalwood.

An Indian flower market crowded with colour supplies the setting for Energetic Rose. Nutmeg, bergamot and coriander give the opening a lively, spicy edge; ginger, clove and cinnamon then gather around the rose at its centre. Rosewood connects flower and wood, while sandalwood provides a more composed finish. Among Gilles Berthoumieux's three Rose Study interpretations of place and culture, the presence of spice is particularly distinctive here. The scent began in a limited nail oil in 2024 and appeared as a 15 mL Petiume that December, bringing floral brightness and the individual character of several spices together.
