The Ginza Parfum
A parfum built around Ginza’s linden flowers, with sudachi, a bouquet, musk and brown-sugar sweetness, housed in softly undulating glass with an iridescent rear finish.
Linden blossoms from Ginza’s Namiki-dori provide the theme for this parfum. Natural Japanese sudachi fragrance brings a fresh opening, followed by the impression of a floral bouquet. Soft, deep musk and a hint of sweetness recalling sanonto, a Japanese brown sugar, shape the later scent. While the eau de parfum is presented for everyday wear, the house places the parfum in the setting of evening dress and festive gatherings. The bottle has its own character: its square form is given gently undulating surfaces. An iridescent vapour-deposition finish is applied only to the back, showing different colours as the angle changes. Japanese artisans make the glass bottle through nine stages, five devoted to polishing, making its form part of the experience.
