Thumbsucker

Thumbsucker draws on an ancient Indian myth about King Yuvanaswa, his child and the god Indra, who nourishes the baby with nectar from his thumb. Stora Skuggan translates that story into honeyed sweetness and soft, intimate textures. Olle Hemmendorff created the eau de parfum, released in 2020, bringing darker flowers and resins into its comforting setting.

Honey provides round sweetness, with violet introducing a powdery floral feeling. Bitter almond and cherry give the sweetness fruity and kernel-like facets, while narcissus adds a denser floral shadow. Himalayan cedar supplies dry wood; styrax balsam and candle wax contribute resinous warmth and smooth texture. The effect is more shaded than a bright confection, with flowers, wax and wood carrying as much character as the edible notes.
