Fleur Éclair
A "fleurmand": cardamom sugar and cocoa folded into white flowers.
Perfumer: Clément Marx
Alia Raza says she never set out to make a gourmand, and calls this a fleurmand instead: a scent as rich as it is floral and light. The aim is a faint sugar rush that stops short of excess.
Cardamom sugar and cocoa butter set a dense, buttery sweetness at the start, and a drop of rose water lifts it before it settles.
Jasmine sambac and orange blossom form a white-petal heart dusted with cocoa powder. White patchouli, blond woods and vanilla amber then pull the sweetness toward something drier and a little earthy.
