Santal Bleu
Santal Bleu opens with soft ambrette and bergamot, then settles into the smooth wood of Firsantol and sandalwood. Vetiver, Cashmeran and Ambrox give the dry, quiet finish of this RboW Case Study eau de parfum.
Santal Bleu begins with ambrette and bergamot. The ambrette is soft and slightly fleshy, and the bergamot lays a thin, bitter citrus edge over it. It does not burst open; it loosens slowly on the skin.
At the center are Firsantol and sandalwood. Firsantol works alongside the sandalwood, giving the dry wood a creamy thickness. The powder is restrained, and what remains is a smooth, almost damp wood texture.
Vetiver, Cashmeran and Ambrox sit underneath. The vetiver's root-and-earth tone tightens the sweetness of the wood, while Cashmeran and Ambrox leave a dry, airy trail. The structure keeps the wood in plain view.
RboW's Case Study line takes its name from the close study of a single subject. This fragrance applies that idea to sandalwood, examining it through citrus, musk and dry woody layers.
Wear it in autumn and winter, when the wood has time to settle. Try a small amount on skin to explore the meeting of dry wood and creamy softness. It does not announce itself, which makes it easy to wear to work.
