Mandarino di Sicilia
Green and yellow mandarin reveal the fruit’s changing character, with flowers and soft woods.
Perfumer: Gian Luca Perris
Mandarino di Sicilia takes its setting from mandarin trees and the distant cone of Etna. Three essential-oil fractions capture stages of the fruit, from green peel to a fuller yellow mandarin, evoking flowers, leaves and ripe flesh together.
Green mandarin, bitter orange, yellow mandarin and petitgrain form the citrus opening. Jasmine, geranium and orange blossom add floral brightness, over cedar, amber and musk. A slight peel-like bitterness sits alongside the sweetness of ripe fruit. The selected 100 mL bottle combines clear rectangular glass with a gold-coloured cap and plaque.
