Layton
Bright apple and lavender meet a warmer foundation of vanilla, praline and patchouli.
Perfumer: Hamid Merati-Kashani
Layton connects fresher apple and lavender with the depth of patchouli. Created by Hamid Merati-Kashani and introduced in 2016, it surrounds brighter fruit and aromatic herbs with warmer sweetness and calmer wood. The fragrance’s character develops through that link between freshness and a richer foundation.
Apple, bergamot and cardamom open the fragrance before lavender, violet and geranium form the heart. Patchouli, vanilla, guaiac wood and praline provide the base. Sweet-tart fruit and greener herbs meet softer flowers, while a wood-like, earthier depth gives the sweeter elements a more grounded outline.
Consider it for an evening outfit when brighter fruit and warm sweetness suit the occasion. This is a composition-based suggestion. The illustrated 125mL Eau de Parfum has an opaque dark blue bottle and silver-coloured cap, with raised horses, a shield marked 1743 and the house name on the front.
