The First
A temple-inspired Oriental perfume oil moving from cool cardamom through saffron and helichrysum to incense, frankincense and sandalwood.
The First takes its cue from a quiet ancient temple, the air heavy with the meditative warmth of burning incense. PAÑPURI classifies it as Oriental, and its pyramid moves from spice down to resin and wood.
Cardamom stands alone at the top, a cool, slightly green spice that sketches the outline first. Saffron and helichrysum form the heart: saffron brings a dry, leathery warmth, while helichrysum adds honeyed sweetness with a hay-like dryness, giving the middle a golden density.
The base gathers incense, frankincense and sandalwood. In the brand's scene, sunlight filters through the trees and the deep, resinous aroma of olibanum, another name for frankincense, lingers. The brand describes this resin as having warm, woody and slightly citrusy undertones. Sandalwood sits beneath the smoke, its smooth, gentle sweetness keeping the resins from turning too dry on skin.
The bottle mimics a Thai pagoda from ancient Siam, carrying the temple imagery into the object itself. The fragrance is blended with certified organic moringa seed oil.
