Peony Absolute
Tart red berries and mandarin lead into peony, rose and palmarosa, with frankincense resin giving the florals a quiet depth.
A breeze through an open window carries the scent of peony around a room in the first light of morning. That scene is the starting point for Peony Absolute. PAÑPURI treats the peony as an ancient Asian bloom and gives its opulence a tangy lift.
Red berries and mandarin open the blend. The berries bring a clear, tart fruitiness, and the mandarin adds a bright peel. In the heart, peony meets rose, while palmarosa, a grass whose oil smells rosy, runs a faint green line through the petals. The result is fresh rather than syrupy, like a bouquet still holding some dew.
Frankincense forms the base. Its dry, resinous shade sits beneath the fruit and flowers, giving the composition weight without turning it dark.
If peony or rose perfumes usually feel too sweet to you, the tartness at the top and the resin underneath act as counterweights. Because it is blended into moringa seed oil, it clings closely to the skin. A few touches on pulse points keep it a scent mostly for you and the people near you.
