orb_ital takes the balance of momentum and gravity as its starting idea. Patricia Choux places the soft woody-amber character of Orbitone at the centre, bringing pepper and creamy woods into its orbit.
Perfumer Patricia Choux took the idea of an orbit, a balance between momentum and gravity, and applied it to the molecule's balancing quality. Around Orbitone® she saw many facets: violet, rhubarb, roast coffee, tobacco, smoke and a struck match. From these, she chose pepper as the main force. Its cool-hot burn runs from top to base, giving the scent a dry, electric pull.
That pull draws in Hindinol®, a creamy sandalwood compound from Takasago, anchored by olibanum. Rhubarb and violet add a tart, green-floral brightness around the edges. The result is a dry, spiced woody amber with very little sweetness.
