Lost in the City
Tart rhubarb and blackcurrant meet rose, geranium and a quieter Earl Grey tea base.
Perfumer: Mathieu Nardin
Lost in the City takes inspiration from plants growing through cracks in London’s concrete. Pink rhubarb stalks contrast with grey buildings, translated into fruit, flowers and tea. The fragrance evokes the moment of finding vigorous plant life within a familiar urban setting.
Bergamot zest, angelica seed and blackcurrant lead to rhubarb, rose petals and geranium. Earl Grey tea, crisp amber and musk form the base. Tart fruit gains floral softness, while a drier tea character and warmer amber provide support.
Wear it when fresh fruit should also have greener and tea-like textures. A shirt or informal clothes for a walk around town can suit it. It offers a way to enjoy rhubarb’s tartness alongside flowers and the composed character of tea.
Composed by Mathieu Nardin, this eau de parfum appeared in 2018 within the Forage collection. The illustrated 100mL bottle combines rectangular clear glass, a gold cylindrical cap and a pink label. Its geometric details give colour to the urban botanical inspiration.
