Hidden on the Rooftops
Soft flowers, pollen and honey meet green leaves and a driftwood base.
Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour
Hidden on the Rooftops imagines a secluded garden above London. Privet hedges surround flowers and fruit as honeybees move between them. The softer floral and green character suggests pale yellow sunlight warming blossoms, with pollen suspended in the air.
Bergamot and lime meet angelica seeds, violet leaf, clary sage, red berries and black pepper. Syringa, privet flower, pollen, honey, honeysuckle, rose and tea form the heart. Vetiver, ambergris, sandalwood and driftwood connect floral sweetness to a quieter woody foundation.
Wear it when sweet flowers should retain greener leaves and an airy setting. A relaxed shirt or lighter colours for time spent around greenery can suit it. It offers honey-like sweetness alongside powdery pollen and the calmer texture of wood.
Introduced in 2018, this eau de parfum was composed by Bertrand Duchaufour for the Forage collection. The image shows the 100mL presentation, with rectangular clear glass, a gold cap and a patterned blue label. Its colours connect the rooftop-garden subject to an urban botanical setting.
