Les Fleurs
A green floral born from Minnie Riperton's “Les Fleurs”, moving from bergamot into fig, neroli and magnolia.
Perfumer: Maya Njie
The name comes from Minnie Riperton's song “Les Fleurs”, which was on the radio in 1970. The scent takes that song as its cue and becomes an open-hearted celebration of life, love and making things, rendered as a green floral: flowers with the sap and leaf of their stems left in.
Bergamot opens with a brisk, green kind of citrus. Pulpy fig then joins neroli, the blossom of the bitter orange, and a magnolia with a citrus edge, giving a sweet, bright middle. Floral musk and fresh, unwilted wood settle underneath.
The photograph on the official page was taken in Västerås in 1969. It shows Maya's older sister Anne-Sophie with their great-uncle at their grandfather's allotment cabin.
