Lavande Poivre Noir
Aromatic lavender freshness meets sharper black pepper, with cedarwood connecting herbs and spice to a quieter woody finish.
Lavande Poivre Noir draws on the raw aromatic character of plants in Provence. This eau de toilette connects the scent of lavender during distillation with peppery detail and a burnt-wood-like impression. Formerly called L’Occitan, the fragrance was presented under its current name with a more concise bottle in 2025. Fresher lavender meets black pepper and warmer cedarwood. The British description also connects its cleaner, more tailored character with the impression of a freshly pressed white shirt, bringing aromatic freshness and a quieter woody presence together.
Lavender combines floral and herbal detail with clearer aromatic freshness. Sharper black pepper defines the softer floral outline and adds a warmer, more piquant edge. The composition centres on aromatic plants rather than a sweeter citrus or fruity theme. Cedarwood contributes drier wood in the base, with a deeper, smoky impression. Brighter lavender and peppery sharpness connect with more subdued wood, for someone who enjoys lavender in a structured arrangement of spice and wood as well as for its softer floral character.
Consider it for a cooler morning outside or a day when meeting people with a more composed feeling, paired with a white cotton shirt or tailored jacket. The selected 50mL bottle holds pale yellow liquid in clear glass. A black cylindrical cap and ringed neck sit above rounded shoulders. The pale label displays Lavande and Poivre Noir, with the former name L’Occitan in smaller type below. Eau de Toilette lettering follows its rounded lower edge. Thicker transparent glass gives the aromatic herb and wood inspiration a quieter physical outline.
