Saffron
Saffron with herbs, red fruit and suede, moving from rounded raspberry toward dry woods and leather.
Perfumer: Arnaud Poulain, Amélie Bourgeois
Saffron imagines the spice carried by the crocus flower as a precious red material. Aromatic herbs lead toward fruit and woods, with suede supplying the final texture. Arnaud Poulain and Amélie Bourgeois created this eau de parfum, introduced in 2019.
Incense, thyme and clary sage open with smoke-like resin and dry herbs. Raspberry, blackcurrant, jasmine and lily of the valley combine tart fruit with softer flowers in the heart. Saffron, cedar, guaiac wood and suede leave warm spice, wood and the dry feel of leather. Rounded fruit meets a more tactile leathery foundation.
A square black cap and fine gold detailing complete the black cylindrical 100mL bottle. It offers an evening choice for someone who enjoys leather and spice with a little fruit character rather than a wholly dry composition.
