The eau de parfum version of Oud centres on wood from Laos. Fresh orange and the rounded character of other precious woods surround the resinous subject. Arnaud Poulain and Amélie Bourgeois created this 2019 fragrance in the Superfluide collection.
Bitter orange and sesame introduce citrus bitterness and a dry seed-like texture. Laotian oud and guaiac wood combine deep fragrant wood with a smoke-like quality in the heart. Vanilla and benzoin add rounded sweetness and softer resin to the base. The composition gives its strong woody character both a bitter edge and a warmer sweet foundation.
The black cylindrical 100mL bottle carries a square black cap and fine gold detailing. It suits a cool evening when a substantial fragrant wood feels appealing with a little vanilla and resinous softness.
