Couleur Primaire
Fresh laundry and childhood pear sorbet, expressed through bright aldehydes, soft flowers and musk.
Perfumer: Arnaud Poulain
Couleur Primaire recalls freshly washed laundry drying outdoors, then the reassuring sweetness of a pear sorbet remembered from childhood. Arnaud Poulain created the 2018 eau de parfum around a familiar kind of freshness, with the house suggesting it as a cheerful response to the mood of a Sunday evening.
Bright aldehydes and juicy pear introduce the composition. Jasmine, peony and rose give the heart soft floral fullness, before musk and Ambroxan support a smooth, slightly powdery clean texture. The sweetness of fruit and flowers stays within an impression of supple fabric rather than a rich dessert.
A fine gold line crosses the label of the clear cylindrical 100mL bottle beneath a square black cap. It is a welcoming choice for a gentle floral and musky mood, or for enjoying the feeling associated with fresh clothes.
