Essential
Brighter citrus meets black pepper, rose and calmer woods, giving a freer mood a fresh, watery fougère expression.
Perfumer: Laurent Bruyère
Essential Eau de Toilette takes freedom and happiness as its starting point. Introduced in 2005 and developed by Laurent Bruyère, it gives that freer spirit a watery fougère expression through citrus, spice and wood. Its clearer character suggests a lighter mood with a composed foundation.
A bright citrus accord opens the composition. Black pepper adds a sharper outline, while rose introduces a floral impression alongside that freshness. Sandalwood and patchouli bring a calmer woody texture to the base. This combination gives the citrus another dimension, allowing flowers and woods to accompany its energy rather than leaving freshness on its own.
The broad, clear 125mL bottle bears a large crocodile engraved into the glass, with a silver cap and black lettering. The clean shape carries a playful trace of Lacoste’s identity. Its brighter, woody character suits a morning change of mood or an easy-moving weekend.
