Grapefruit Brûlée
A citrus-woody scent that sets bright grapefruit against a lightly scorched, smoky edge. Milky coconut cream wraps the citrus, settling into warm tonkalactone and sandalwood.
Grapefruit Brûlée is a citrus scent that does not stay merely fresh. It opens on orange essence and spearmint essence, the cool green of mint sharpening the citrus before a lightly scorched, smoky nuance settles over it. Bright, yet shaded: that first impression sets the tone for everything that follows.
At the center is a pomelo-and-edamame accord, combining the impression of citrus peel with a green vegetable edge. The pomelo brings a bitter edge, the edamame a green one, deepening the grapefruit's freshness into something darker and more layered. Coconut cream then enters with a milky sweetness, rounding off the citrus without erasing it. Cool fruit and warm cream meet in the same layer, and the texture is what stays with you.
The dry down pairs tonkalactone with a sandalwood accord. Tonkalactone carries a balsamic, lactonic character reminiscent of tonka bean, with a coconut-like nuance of its own. The sweetness lingers, but the smooth woody core of sandalwood quiets it, and the trail settles softly against the skin.
Kuoca describes the finish as a shaft of light falling into a wine glass. Scorched citrus, cream, and warm wood run together as a single citrus-woody composition. Because it keeps its sweetness, it sits comfortably in cooler weather and at an evening table. Spray it once on the wrist and let the shading unfold.
