vainly
Davana, chamomile, flowers, leather and tobacco portray sweet, bittersweet chocolate.
Perfumer: Hidenori Matsuno
Vainly portrays sweet, melting bitter chocolate through German chamomile and rose. Kilesa leads davana’s liqueur-like aromas towards leather and tobacco. Bright citrus moves through flowers and coniferous detail into sweeter chocolate and drier shade.
Yuzu, bergamot, lemon and davana open with brighter peel and wine-like aromas. German chamomile, jasmine, pine needles and rose create the heart, adding coniferous greenery beside flowers and herbs. Tobacco, musk, vanilla, chocolate and leather form the base, connecting softer sweetness and confectionery depth with dry leaves and leather.
It suits an evening when sweetness with herbal and leathery contrasts feels inviting. The rounded 50 mL clear-glass bottle carries a copper-coloured cap and its name printed directly on the front.
