Night falls over a still house, and the scent of tatami fills the room. For this 2022 eau de parfum, Karine Dubreuil-Sereni drew on a material that changes with time and the life of a home, expressing the comfort of a familiar refuge within memories of Kenzo Takada’s childhood tea house.
Rice straw receives a bright touch of pink pepper. Warm ambrette and creamy vanilla accompany mellow amber musks, joining a dry botanical texture with gentle sweetness. The composition gives the idea of tatami a softly enveloping expression.
