Karine Dubreuil-Sereni imagined the olfactory sensations of a mysterious Japanese teahouse for this 2023 eau de parfum. Worn leather, kimono silk, and scented sachets tucked into sleeves form its surrounding imagery. Incense stands at the centre of her composition, providing both light and depth.
Smoky incense combines with the floral softness of freesia and saffron blossoms. The flowers illuminate the deeper smoky expression, leading from a brighter opening towards a warm, enveloping trail. Leather and silk belong to the fragrance’s imagined setting; incense and flowers provide the central olfactory contrast.
The rounded amber-coloured 75 mL bottle combines a clear cap with overlapping lines inspired by a kimono collar. Quieter evenings and time spent reading suit moments when a warm incense fragrance with a soft floral counterpoint feels welcome.
